A Natural Resource Encounter for the Next Generation
Envirothon Asia
Since 2023
Envirothon Asia, established in January 2023, is the Asian program of NCF-Envirothon, offering students across the continent the chance to ultimately compete in the annual finals held in the United States. Initially launched in Singapore, Envirothon Asia has now expanded to encompass the entire region, providing a platform for students to engage in environmental education at a larger scale.
This initiative engages students from various regions, fostering environmental awareness and promoting sustainable practices. Envirothon Asia offers a dynamic platform where young learners can delve into pressing environmental issues, enhance their critical thinking abilities, and collaborate on innovative solutions. By harnessing the diverse talents and perspectives of students throughout Asia, the program aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders in sustainability and environmental stewardship.
With a strong commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and collaborative learning, Envirothon Asia provides an enriching experience that empowers participants and supports their journey toward becoming proactive environmental advocates.

Format of the Asian Level and the International Final
Asian Level Competition
The Asian level Competition consists of two rounds:
Objective Exam
The objective exam covers four Learning Areas and the Current Issue Topic.
- Exam Duration: 120 minutes
- Question Number: 200 questions
In the Asian level, students take the exam independently, and the top 5 students from each school will automatically form a team, and their scores will be averaged for the team score.
Advancement: The top 10 teams from the objective exam will advance to the Oral Presentation round.
*To ensure fairness and inclusivity, the following restrictions apply to teams from the same school:
- <13 participants: A maximum of 1 team from the school can join the ranking for advancement to the Oral Presentation.
- 13–24 participants: A maximum of 2 teams from the school can join the ranking for advancement.
- ≥ 25 participants: A maximum of 3 teams from the school can join the ranking for advancement.
Oral Presentation
Advanced teams will receive a scenario related to the Current Issue Topic. They will have 24 hours to prepare, record, and submit a presentation video, which must not exceed 7 minutes in length.
International Annual Final
The International Final is a team event featuring five testing stations and an Oral Presentation.
5 Test Stations
The 5 test stations correspond to the 4 learning areas and the Current Issue Topic, examining the team's knowledge and skills in different environmental subjects. The questions vary in type, number, and difficulty. Teams discuss and answer as a group.
Oral Presentation
The day before the Oral Presentation, resource professionals train students on the topic they'll present. Teams have a few hours to prepare in isolation, using only provided resources. Presentation time is 20 minutes followed by a 10-minute Q&A.
Sign Up for Envirothon Asia 2025
All students participating in Envirothon Asia must register through their respective schools to account for the school's scores. The deadline for Envirothon Asia 2025 registration is February 15, 2025.
Envirothon Asia entrusts EAE (Extracurricular Activity Excellence) for managing registration.
Teachers can log into the EAE system to register, and distribute the school-specific registration forms to students for completion. If you do not have an EAE account, please fill out the School Registration form below, and we will set up an EAE account for you.
Students can self-register through the official website by clicking the Student Registration button below. If your school does not appear in the search on the registration page, please contact your school's advisor to register using the school-specific registration form.

Rules for Advancing to the International Annual Final
5 Students per Team

2024-11-27 | Practice Questions Now Available
We have released Practice Questions for Envirothon Asia! These questions are selected from past years’ official exams to give students a better understanding of the question types and format.
Students can use these practice questions for self-assessment, while teachers can use them for school-level selection. Teachers, please contact us to access the answer key. Check it out today and get ready for the competition!
2024-11-22 | Updated Registration Process for Students
We are excited to announce an update to the registration process for Envirothon Asia. All students participating in Envirothon Asia must register under their school. Previously, registrations were handled by schools directly.
This year, in collaboration with EAE (Extracurricular Activity Excellence), we are utilizing their global school database to offer a direct registration option. Students can now search for their school in the student registration form, if the school is listed in the search results, they can simply complete the form to register.

We are excited to announce the addition of a Resources & Links section on the Envirothon Asia website! This section consolidates the latest official resources from NCF Envirothon, making it easier for participants to access and review important materials.
In the future, we will also publish the Official Study Guide for Envirothon Asia exams in this section. Stay tuned for updates!

We are pleased to announce the official rules for advancing to the prestigious NCF Envirothon annual final in the United States! Here’s how students from Envirothon Asia can qualify to represent the continent:
5 Students per Team
- Teams advancing to the NCF Envirothon will be composed of 5 students from each participating school.

2024-03-28 | Envirothon Asia - Singapore National Round Concludes with Great Success
We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our National Round for this year's competition. After a intense and engaging series of environmental challenges, we are pleased to inform all our esteemed participants that the results have been officially released.
Results of the competition can now be accessed through the online exam system. Participants are encouraged to log in and review their performance. Certificates commemorating participation and recognizing outstanding achievements have been dispatched via email. Check your inboxes and celebrate this milestone.
